Susan Helene Moriarty, 51, passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2018, while on vacation in Miami, Florida. She was surrounded by her family.
Suzy was born November 27,1966, in Jersey City, NJ. She was a lifelong resident of Glen Ridge and Sparta, NJ. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Moriarty and survived by her mother, Edna Moriarty and siblings Richard L. Moriarty, Edna MacLean, Brendian Moriarty, Katherine Moriarty Schaeffner, and Craig Moriarty. Suzy was a cousin to many and a loving aunt to 15 nieces and nephews.
She attended Bergen School for Child Development and graduated in 1987. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. Some of her favorite places to visit were Grand Cayman, Disney World, Miami, Jersey Shore and cruises in Europe. She loved to shop at flea markets where she bought purses, hats and sunglasses for every occasion, all in her favorite color – purple. She adored dogs, bunnies and stuffed monkeys. She enjoyed swimming in pools and driving the party boat on Lake Mohawk.
She is known for ordering “ice tea, no ice” and chocolate milk shakes.
She will be forever remembered for her joyful smile, witty sense of humour and positive outlook on life.
Visitation is at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, Friday, February 9th, 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Church services will be held at Sparta United Methodist Church Saturday, February 10th at 9:30 am, 71 Sparta Ave, burial will follow.
