Born in Bloomfield, Ted was a lifelong resident and proud of his Bloomfield roots. His days on the BHS football team gave him an enduring love of the game, as well as the nicknames “Casey” and “Kozy”. After serving in the Navy during WWII, Ted joined the Bloomfield Fire Department where he proudly served for 37 years. After his retirement, he and his wife Dolores felt fortunate to spend time traveling to Poland, Italy, Russia, as well as multiple trips to the western U.S. and to visit family. Ted always made time for his grandchildren’s recitals, meets, games, and activities, and was always ready with a joke and a smile.
He was the husband of the late Dolores (Marchak) Kozakiewicz for 68 years, father of Thomas and his late wife Janice, Ann DeLosh and her husband John and the late Thaddeus, and brother of the late Vincent. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
