Theresa V. Cicenia, (nee Nasti), 87, passed away on Thursday October 20, 2016 at The Chelsea at Toms River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the O’Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St. Bloomfield on Tuesday at 9:00 AM. The funeral mass will be offered at Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 AM. Interment Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Born in Bloomfield, Mrs. Cicenia lived most of her life in Bloomfield, and the last 3 years in Toms River.
She worked for 30 years at the Schering Corperation.
Beside being an and was an avid bowler and gardener, Theresa loved to cook and bake, sending her recipes to the Star Ledger and other cooking publications..
Theresa was the wife of the late Peter J. Cicenia for 62 years; mother of Michael and his wife Patricia, and James P.; grandmother of Michelle and her husband Andrew; sister of Angelo, Joseph Jr., Carmine Abato, Celia Francese, Angela Linke. She is also predeceased by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
