Tiffany Carina Foust passed away on Thursday, Feb. 7th 2019 at home, surrounded by her family. Tiffany is survived by her loving husband Max, her devoted sisters Kim Mason and Amanda Kow, and her proud parents Lucia and Michael Kow.
Tiffany left her career as the Senior Director of Treasury at Nasdaq to pursue nursing because she felt a calling to help people. She was a nurse at Mt. Sinai in New York City and continued working full-time at Mountainside Hospital for a year while receiving chemotherapy treatments for metastatic breast cancer (MBC).
Tiffany will forever be remembered for her strength and grace. Tiff never once complained, was determined to remain independent, and was the most brilliant shining star. She had a love for food and travel and lived her life every day with gratitude.
Tiff traveled to Washington DC in October 2018, to advocate for advancing stage 4 cancer research and improving access to quality healthcare and benefits for individuals impacted by MBC. On February 1st, 2019, Tiff was among five local women at the second annual Be Bold and Behold gala honored for their advocacy work. With Tiff’s help, the gala raised $172,000 for METAvivor Research and Support Inc, a 501C-3 non-profit organization dedicated to funding research for MBC through peer-reviewed research grants.
For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Tiffany Foust to METAvivor
(http://METAvivor.org) or Little Pink Houses of Hope (http://littlepink.org) which provides week long breast cancer retreats for couples and families.
A visitation was held Sunday, February 10th, and a Celebration of Life on Monday, February 11th, at O’Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield, NJ 07003. Please express condolences at www.oboylefuneralhome.com
