BELLEVILLE, NJ – The Belleville High School girls’ varsity basketball team finished a successful 12-10 season.
The 13th-seeded Bucs lost at fourth-seeded Morris Knolls, 58-26, in the first round of the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 1, Group 4 state tournament on Feb. 27 to end the season.
Junior guard Jehan Segovia-Dabon scored six points; sophomore guard Jazailis Gual and senior guard Emani Hill each had five points; senior guard Maranisha Rivers had four points and senior guard Sydney Gomez, sophomore Nathalie Marin and junior forward Janelle Ramirez each had two points for the Bucs, under first-year head coach Chris Cantarella.
