BELLEVILLE, NJ – The ninth-seeded Belleville High School girls’ varsity volleyball team defeated eighth-seeded Millburn in a three-set thriller in the Essex County Tournament first round on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Millburn.
The Bucs won the first set, 25-18. Millburn came back to win the second set, 25-21. Belleville won the decisive third set, 25-21.
The Bucs, who won their third straight match to improve to a 14-8 record, will visit top-seeded Verona in the quarterfinals on or by Oct. 25.
