BELLEVILLE – Lucianna Gilfone had three hits and three RBI; Gianna Benacquista had three hits and two RBI; and Jasmine La Torre, Jehann Dabon, Breana Nieves, and Freid each had a run-scoring single to propel the Belleville High School varsity softball team to an 11-1 win over Technology on April 18 in Newark.
Kaila Freid allowed three hits and one walk, striking out three three, over six innings. The Bucs moved to a 5-2 record.
In their previous game, the Bucs lost at Kearny, 9-5, April 16.
