Bloomfield Babe Baseball Ruth Baseball League to hold registrations

BLOOMFIELD – The Bloomfield Babe Ruth Baseball League will be conducting registrations on the  following dates at the Bloomfield Civic Center located at 84 Broad St.:

  • Friday, Jan. 8, 7 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 9,  9 a.m. to  12:00 p.m.
  • Friday, Jan. 22, 7 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 23, 9 a.m.  to noon.
  • Friday, Feb. 5,  7 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 6, 9 a.m.  to noon.
  • Friday, Feb. 19, 7 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 20, 9 a.m.  to noon.

The league is for 13-16-year-old ballplayers and is open to all that are interested in joining.

The season begins approximately the middle of April and concludes in the latter part of  June. All players are drafted to a team after a skills assessment that will take place in March with details to follow at the Bloomfield Middle School located at 60 Huck Road.

A registration fee is charged separately for Bloomfield residents and out-of-town residents.

The league supplies uniform shirt, hat and socks with the player being responsible for grey uniform pants, black belt, cleats, glove and bat.

There will be an early-bird registration special on Friday, Jan. 8 where the first 25 registrants will receive free registration. Please note that all current league balances must be brought current to qualify and a parent/guardian must be present (in-person only). All players and parents must take part in league supervised fundraising.
