HS wrestling season set to begin Dec. 16, with changes to road to Atlantic City

The high school varsity wrestling season begins Dec. 16, and this season offers changes when it comes to the road to Atlantic City, site of the invididual championships.

The NJSIAA realigned the district and region tournaments for the 2016-17 season.

The districts will be held the weekend of Feb. 17-18. The regions will be held Feb. 22, 24-25. The NJSIAA tournament is held March 3-5 in Atlantic City.

In addition, West Orange High School will be the host for the new Region 3. For many years, WOHS was the host for the old Region 4.
The new Region 3 will host teams from District 9-12.
Union HS will be the host for the new Region 4. Union HS was the previous host for Region 3.
The new Region 4 will host teams from District 13-16.
