ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The Super Essex Conference recently named students to all-conference teams in baseball and softball.
In the American Division, first team honors went to Millburn High School’s Daniel Cifu; Montclair High School’s Anthony Anzaldi, Brett Janifer and Jeremy Sacks; Nutley High School’s Lou Raffaelli; Bloomfield High School’s Nico Ong and Andre Dean; West Essex Regional High School’s Tyler Sorrentino and Vincent Panzarino; Livingston High School’s David Cotugno; and Seton Hall Prep’s Chris Maldonado and Ryan Sprock. Second team honors went to SHP’s John Cerwinski and Karson Harcourt; West Essex’s Tyler Markman and Justin Waack; Bloomfield’s Dillon Jennings, Brandon Piacenza and Liam Hempstead; Montclair’s Amar Francis and Melvin Matias; Millburn’s Steven Echevarria; Livingston’s Chris Battista; and Nutley’s Joe Delanzo. In the Liberty Division, first team honors went to Caldwell High School’s Nick Bergamotto, Owen Ayers, Gil Prial, Zach Hirshorn and Ryan Lill; Verona High School’s Tom Radigan and Pierce Coppola; West Orange High School’s Noah Stennett, Jalen Fulton, Jayson Raines and Aidan Healey; and Newark Academy’s Carl Steffens. Second team honors went to Columbia High School’s Luke Nomura, Aidan Pierre and Jacob Messeri; Verona’s Ben Mackey, Chris Baker and Kyle McCaffery; Cedar Grove High School’s Dario Bryant and Alfonso Lombardi; West Orange’s Matthew Bove and Owen Murphy; and Caldwell’s Michael Scaglione and Ray Zamloot. Shabazz High School’s Seyi Ikujuni, John Tenezaca and Jabez King; and Irvington High School’s Luis Berrios. Second team honors went to Central’s Mehki Powell, Matthias Owens, Omar Lewter and Wilson Ogunda; Irvington’s Damien Perez and Emmanuel Sencion; and Shabazz’s Sergio Amador and Christian Paulino.
In the Freedom Division, first team honors went to Weequahic High School’s Charles Perez, Anderson Duarte and Antony Gomez; and East Orange Campus High School’s Anauris Rodriguez, Kofi Zulu, Wensley Martinez, Hector Corniel, Elijah Pullins and Samuel Thomas. Second team honors went to Weequahic’s Michael Ortega, Corey Staggers, Esteven Lisboa and Nicolas Torres; and East Orange’s Misael Garcia and Narendra Singh.
