UPPER MONTCLAIR – The Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center will hold a Character Building Program and Screening of “The Sandlot” on President’s Day, Feb. 15, from 1-4 p.m. for children in grades 3-5.
The first in a series of four classes, children will participate in a new inter-disciplinary way to build character and learn about the honorable values personified by the legendary Yogi Berra. The first session will focus on diversity.
The innovative and exciting activities have been organized by the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center’s team of educators, which is developing a new K-12 character education curriculum.
Following the activities, the Museum will screen the popular baseball film “The Sandlot”, whose themes include building interpersonal skills, being a team player, and learning life lessons. Child must be accompanied by an adult. To RSVP, call the Museum at 973-655-2378. The cost is $10.
