Bengals lose close boys basketball game to Red Raiders

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Bloomfield High School boys basketball team lost a close game to East Side High School in Newark, 48-46, on March 4.

For the Bengals, Isaiah Cortes led the scoring with 12 points, followed by Vernon Lee with 9, Chino Anyanwu with 8, Khanye’ Tucker with 7, Uma Kalu with 5, Julian Paulino with 3 and Andre Dean with 2.

For the Red Raiders, David Olaniyi led the scoring with 17 points, followed by Naftali Koomson with 12, Sutan Fitzpatrick with 9, Nasir Wheeler with 8 and Quatrell Wilson with 2.
