Bloomfield Babe Ruth League to visit Cooperstown; seeks players ages 13-16

BLOOMFIELD – The Bloomfield Babe Ruth League presents “A Day in Cooperstown” on Thursday, July 28.

The Bloomfield Babe Ruth League is seeking 26 players to make up two teams that will play a game at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, N.Y. – Bustin’ Babes vs. Larrupin Lou’s.
The rest of the day will be spent visiting the National Baseball Hall of Fame and visiting the quaint Downtown District.

The league is making this offer to ballplayers between the ages of 13-16 and is open to any interested ballplayer no matter whether you played in the league or not.

Registration is on a first come, first served basis.

The cost is $85, which includes hat, socks, loaned Bloomfield Babe Ruth uniform and entry into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The registration fee does not include any meals.

Departure from the Bloomfield Board of Education parking lot is at 6:30 a.m. Arrival to Cooperstown is at 11 a.m. Departure from Cooperstown is at 7:15 p.m. and arrival to Bloomfield is 11:30 p.m.

There are 28 seats available to parents, family members and the general public for $75 each, which includes transportation and entry into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. They will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Players attending must be accompanied by a parent or adult chaperone. If a player’s family decides to supply their own transportation to Cooperstown, there is no discount for the player.
