Bloomfield HS baseball team jolts West Orange

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Senior Manny Corporan (3-2) pitched six innings of three-hit ball, striking out 12 and allowing just one earned run and senior Elliot Urgent had two RBI on a groundout and sac fly to lead the Bloomfield High School varsity baseball team to a 5-3 win over West Orange on Monday, May 14, at Bloomfield Middle School.

Senior Jamir Ramos pitched the save for the save, allowing one hit and one earned run and striking out one.

Sophomore Vincent Torrisi had an RBI safety squeeze bunt and senior Dylan Piacenza went 1-for-2 with a single, two walks, two runs scored and a stolen base for the the Bengals, who improved to a 10-10 record.
