BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Anthony Rizzi, a senior, had a goal and an assist and seniors Marco Colasurdo and Jean Pierre Carrion each had a goal to lead the Bloomfield High School boys soccer team to a 3-2 win over Irvington on Thursday, Oct. 3, at Watsessing Park. BHS improved to 4-7.
In the previous game, the Bengals lost to Glen Ridge, 3-2, Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Watsessing Park. Rizzi and Colasurdo each had a goal and junior Nicholas Rizzi, Anthony’s brother, had an assit.
The Bengals, seeded 13th, were scheduled to host No. 20 seed Technology in an Essex County Tournament preliminary game on Tuesday, Oct. 8. The winner will visit No. 4 seed Montclair Kimberley Academy today, Oct. 10, in the first round. The quarterfinals are Saturday, Oct. 12.
