BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Freshman Anthony Rizzi and sophomore Kevin Cunas each had one goal and one assist to lead the Bloomfield High School boys’ varsity soccer team to a 4-1 win over Science Park on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Bloomfield Middle School field.
The win was the first of the season for the Bengals, who improved to a 1-5-1 record.
Senior Walberto Calderon scored a goal, and sophomores Sahil Doshi and Jason Ricca each had an assist for the Bengals. BHS sophomore goalie Matthew Vitella had seven saves.
The Bengals then lost to Montclair Kimberley Academy, 1-0, Sept. 27, at Watsessing Park to move to a 1-6-1 record. MKA moved to 4-1-2.
