Bloomfield HS boys’ soccer team wins two in a row

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield High School boys’ soccer team won two straight games after an 0-3 start to the season.

The Bengals defeated Ferris of Jersey City, 3-2, Sept. 15, at Foley Field for their first win of the season. Marco Colasurdo had two goals and assisted on fellow sophomore Anthony Rizzi’s goal for the Bengals. Rizzi also had an assist on one of Colasurdo’s goals. Junior goalie Matthew Vitella made eights saves for BHS.

The Bengals then defeated East Orange Campus, 2-1, Monday, Sept. 19, at Watsessing Park to improve to 2-3. Colasurdo had a goal and assisted on Rizzi’s goal. Senior Nicholas Kovach assisted on Colasurdo’s and Vitella made six saves.
