BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield High School varsity boys’ and girls’ cross-country teams gave good efforts at the Essex County Championship meet held at Brookdale Park in Bloomfield on Friday, Oct. 28.
On the boys’ side, the Bengals finished 10th out of 20 teams. Enrique Campos finished 26th in 16:53.6 in the 5K run and fellow senior La’Shan White was 33rd in 17:08.5.
On the girls’ side, Bloomfield was seventh out of 17 teams. Camrynn Referente, a junior, finished 30th in 21:24.1; and fellow juniors Da-Xia Colon and Paulina Crespo finished 38th and 39th respectively.
