BLOOMFIELD (updated Tuesday June 14, 3:39 p.m.) – Four Bloomfield High School graduating seniors helped the East All-Star team defeat the West All-Star team, 16-12, in the 23rd annual Paul Robeson High School Football All-Star Classic at Robeson Stadium in East Orange on Monday night, June 13.
The four Bengals who played in the game were tight end Olivier Georges, quarterback Eli Simmons, running back Quaran Mason and defensive lineman Lowell Kelly-Gamble. Also, BHS head coach Mike Carter was an assistant coach for the East team, which comprised seniors from Essex County and eastern Passaic County. The West comprised seniors from Morris, Sussex and western Passaic counties.
Kelly-Gamble also will play in the 38th annual Phil Simms New Jersey North-South High School Football Senior All-Star Classic on Monday, June 27, at Kean University in Union at 7 p.m.
