BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield High School girls’ varsity basketball team featured four players who earned All-Super Essex Conference-American Division honors.
SECOND TEAM
- Aicha Naouai, senior
- Sarah Edmond, junior
HONORABLE MENTION
- Samantha Columna, sophomore
- Raquel Plata, senior
The SEC-American Division is the highest division of the conference, with such strong teams as University, Newark Tech and West Orange. The Bengals finished with an 8-15 overall record and 4-8 in the division.
BHS head coach Dana Morton said she was “glad that we had two seniors receive honors and also two underclassmen. It speaks a lot to the girls playing in the tough American Division. Sarah and Samantha will be the foundation of our team next season and we have a great incoming freshman class as well. (I’m) very excited for next year.”
