BLOOMFIELD – Junior guard Genesis Collins had 14 points; junior guard Grace Cannon had 11 points and senior forward Aniyah Allen had seven points and seven rebounds to lead the Bloomfield High School girls’ varsity basketball team to a 44-34 come-from-behind win over Irvington on Feb. 2.
The Bengals trailed 21-18 at halftime, but outscored Irvington, 17-8, in the third quarter, and 9-5 in the fourth quarter.
Sophomore guard Raquel Plata had six points; senior guard Samantha Corio had two points and grabbed four rebounds and sophomore forward Aicha Naouai had two points and three rebounds for BHS, which improved to a 12-2 record.
