Bloomfield HS girls’ basketball team tops Orange to improve to 5-1

BLOOMFIELD – Senior forward Aniyah Allen had 16 points, seven rebounds and two steals and junior guard Grace Cannon had 16 points, five rebounds, four steals, three assists and three blocks to lead the Bloomfield High School girls’ varsity basketball team to a 51-26 home win over Orange on Jan. 7.

Junior guard Genesis Collins had five points, four assists and two rebounds, senior guard Samantha Corio had four rebounds and four steals; sophomore forward Aicha Naouai posted five points and seven rebounds; sophomore guard Raquel Plata added five points and two rebounds and junior guard Jalia Santos recorded four points, two rebounds and two steals as the Bengals improved to a 5-1 record.
