Bloomfield HS girls’ soccer team falls to Livingston in state tournament to end season

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The 13th-seeded Bloomfield High School varsity girls’ soccer team lost at fourth-seeded Livingston, 3-1, in the first round of the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 1, Group 4 state tournament on Monday, Oct. 30.

Senior Anatalia Pena scored the goal for BHS, which finished the season with a 7-11-1 record.

In previous action, the Bengals defeated Cedar Grove, 3-0, Oct. 23, at Foley Field.  Pena had two goals and Gianna Feliciano had one goal and one assist. Mia Nalic and Kimberly Zapata-Quinatoa each had an assist.

Bloomfield lost to Nutley, 2-1, Oct. 26, at Foley Field.
