Bloomfield HS girls’ track and field team excels at Ranger Relays

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield High School girls’ varsity track and field team finished fourth overall out ot 24 schools at the Ranger Relays on Saturday, April 14, at Wallkill Valley HS in Hamburg.

Aicha Naouai won the discus event with a throw of 100 feet and finished third in the javelin at 101 feet-7 inches.

The 4×400-meter relay finished first in 4:11.80; the 4×100 shuttle hurdle relay finished third in 1:10.38; the 4×200 took fourth and the 4×100, sprint medley relay and distance medley relay each took fifth.
Alexis Taylor was third in the shot put at 31-1 ¾, Annie Bickmore was fifth in the pole vault at 7-0.

On the boys’ side, the 4×100 was fourth; the 4×400 was fifth; Brandon Holt took sixth in the long jump at 18-11; and Mayowa Akindebe was seventh in the shot put at 43-6 ¼ to lead the Bengals.

Bloomfield will participate in the Morris Hills Relays on Saturday, April 21.
