BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The seventh-seeded Bloomfield High School girls’ varsity volleyball team defeated 10th-seeded West Essex, 25-21, 25-23, in the first round of the Essex County Tournament on Oct. 19 at BHS.
The Bengals, who moved to a 12-8 overall record, will advance to the quarterfinals on or by Oct. 25. The winner of No. 17 seed North 13th St. Tech and No. 20 Lacordaire will visit second-seeded Livingston. The winner of that match will then face Bloomfield in the quarterfinals.
BHS lost to Livingston, 23-25, 16-25, Oct. 18, at Livingston.
