BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield High School girls’ volleyball team defeated Old Bridge, 25-20, 21-25, 25-19, at home on Monday, Oct. 17, to improve to an 11-7 record.
Kourtni Carty had 18 assists and eight digs; Melissa Marte had 16 kills; Aicha Naouai had 12 digs and four kills; and Sarah Pierre recorded six blocks.
The Lady Bengals, seeded seventh, will host No. 10 seed West Essex in the first round of the Essex County Tournament on Oct. 19. The winner will advance to the quarterfinal round on Oct. 25.
