BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield High School girls’ varsity volleyball team defeated North 13th St. Tech, 25-10, 25-23, Sept. 19, at BHS for its second straight win to improve to a 3-1 record.
Melissa Marte had nine kills and five digs; Kourtni Carty had 11 assists and three digs; and Aicha Naouai had four kills for the Bengals.
In their previous match, the Bengals defeated Caldwell, 26-24, 25-23, in Caldwell on Sept. 13.
BHS defeated West Essex, 25-23, 22-25, 25-18, in the season opener Sept. 8 in North Caldwell. The Bengals lost to Mount St. Dominic Academy, 25-9, 25-19, Sept. 13, at home.
