BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Bloomfield High School senior Kaela Edwards is one of the best girls’ hurdlers in the state.
Edwards won the fifth-place medal in the 55-meter hurdles at the NJSIAA indoor track and field State Meet of Champions on Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Bennett Center in Toms River. Edwards was clocked in 8.26 seconds.
Meanwhile, on the boys’ side, BHS senior La’Shan White finished 17th in the 400-meter dash in 51.51 the next day at the Meet of Champions.
At the Eastern States on Feb. 20 at the New York City Armory, Edwards took eighth in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.39.
