Bloomfield HS softball team falls to Newark Academy; two-game win streak ends

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield High School varsity softball team lost to Newark Academy, 5-3, Monday, April 17, at Carla Ward Memorial Field at Clarks Pond South.

The loss ended the Bengals’ two-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Ayana Andrade-Zygmunt had three hits and fellow junior Kim Zapata scored two runs for the Bengals.
