BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Bloomfield High School seniors La’Shan White, Aicha Naouai and Kaela Edwards enjoyed solid efforts at the NJSIAA State Track and Field Meet of Champions held at Northern Burlington County Regional HS in Columbus on Saturday, June 9.
White, the lone BHS boys’ competitor, competed in three events. He earned the eighth-place medal in the 400-meter hurdles in 54.98. He finished in 24th place in preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles in 15.04. He also took 24th in the 400-meter dash final.
On the girls’ side, Naouia nearly medalled in the javelin as she finished in 10th place with a throw of 122 feet. The top eight finishers in each event earned medals.
Edwards took 14th in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles in 14.79.
The MOC consisted of the top two finishers, plus wild-card berths, from the NJSIAA State Group meets.
