BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield High School boys’ and girls’ track and field teams enjoyed an auspicious start to the season.
The girls’ javelin team of Aicha Naouai and Jackie Drucker took first place at the Mountie Relays at Woodman Field in Montclair on March 31.
At the Metuchen Relays on Saturday, April 7, Kaela Edwards ran a New Jersey No. 2 best time in the girls’ 100-meter hurdles in 15.27; Naoau had the best javelin throw of the meet at 107 feet-6 1/2 inches; and the boys’ 4×400-meter relay ran a solid second place in 3:33.91 losing only to Union Catholic, which won in 3:28.17.
