BLOOMFIELD – The Bloomfield High School boys’ and girls’ track and field teams enjoyed good performances at the Pawlowski Relays in Ridgewood on Saturday, April 2, in the season opener.
In the girls’ varsity division, BHS earned the third-place medal in the 4×100-meter shuttle hurdles and earned the fourth-place medal in the distance medley relay (1,200, 400, 800, 1,600-meters).
In the boys’ varsity division, the Bengals earned the fifth-place medal in the team shot put.
In the boys’ novice, BHS won the team high jump and tied for third in the team pole vault.
In the girls’ novice, the Bengals won the 4×200-meter relay in 1:56.7, won the team long jump at 28 feet, 3 ½ inches; and took second in the high jump relay at 4 feet, 10 inches.
