BLOOMFIELD – The Bloomfield High School wrestling team boasted several outstanding wrestlers this season.
The following BHS wrestlers have made Worrall Media All-Area: Adam Lutick, Barak Pipkins, Noel Eustaquio, Elijah Hernandez and Pablo Estevez.
Lutick, Pipkins and Eustaquio are on the first team and Hernandez and Estevez are on the second team.
Pipkins and Lutick, both juniors, qualified for the state tournament in Atlantic City after they each finished second at the Region 4 tournament. They each lost in their two matches at the state tournament to finish their incredible runs. Pipkins competed at the 170-pound class, while Lutick competed at the 220-pound class.
Earlier in the season, Lutick finished second at the Essex County Tournament, while Pipkins took third.
Pipkins and Lutick each won titles at the District 14 tournament to advance to the region.
Eustaquio, a senior 195-pounder, took second at the ECT. He won the district title and finished fourth at the region to just miss qualifying for the state tournament. The top three in each weight class advanced to the states.
Estevez, a junior 126-pounder, also won the district title to reach the region.
Hernandez, a junior 160-pounder, took fourth at the ECT and placed third at the district to reach the region.
