BLOOMFIELD – This past weekend, the Bloomfield Junior Bengals had four A squad (eighth grade) players represent Bloomfield in the 2015 NJSYFL all-star football game. They played on the South squad. From left to right,  Christian Parisi, Dominick Busby, Jordan Cruz and Daniel Gerard all  played well. Daniel Gerard scored on a 45-yard touchdown run and had several big defensive tackles, along with Jordan Cruz. The Junior Bengals as a whole had a good season, as three of four eligible teams made the playoffs, with the B (seventh grade) and C (sixth grade) squads making it to the semifinals, losing to Summit and Westfield in those games. The Junior Bengals cheerleaders also made history, hosting and participating in their first Youth Cheer for Cure Exhibition at Bloomfield High School where several local towns participated.
