Junior Bengals football getting ready for the season

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The William Foley Junior Bengals will begin official practice Aug. 19.

The Junior Bengals practice Mondays through Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Once the school year starts, practices are held Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays.

This is the 33rd year for the program.

There are five tackle levels: a third and fourth grade team, and stand-alone teams for fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grades. There is also a flag level team for grades kindergarten to second grade.

The season starts Sept. 15.

The team competes in the North Jersey Suburban Youth Football League in the National Division.

Registration is also being accepted this month at Foley Field for players and cheerleaders on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Foley Field.
