BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield High School varsity football team lost to North Bergen, 21-0, at Foley Field on Friday, Sept. 22.

It was the Bengals’ first loss of the season. BHS moved to a 2-1 record.

Defensively for the Bengals, senior defensive back Jeremy Whitherspoon had 14 tackles; senior linebacker Joe Bumpus had 13 tackles;  sophomore Marc Abraham had eight tackles, including one tackle for loss; senior Jeremiah Askins had five tackles; and senior outside linebacker Judah Bartley had four tackles with a sack.

The Bengals will look to bounce back against West Orange on Thursday, Sept. 28, at West Orange at 7 p.m.
