Bloomfield HS girls’ soccer team wins two in a row to move to 5-5

Anatalia Pena, a senior, scored two goals and juniors Lauren Synnott and Brianna Trigueros-Pericone each had a goal and an assist to lead the Bloomfield High School varsity girls’ soccer team to a 4-2 win over Passaic Valley on Monday, Oct. 2, in Little Falls in a non-conference game.

Julia Nephew, a junior, had two assists for the Bengals, who won their second straight and improved to 5-5.

In the previous game, senior Kimberly Zapata-Quinatoa scored the lone goal to give the Bengals a 1-0 win over Caldwell on Sept. 28 in a Super Essex Conference-Liberty Division game at Brookdale Park. Junior goalie Grace Carroll made nine saves for the shutout.

The Bengals lost to Millburn, 3-2, Sept. 26, at Brookdale Park in a SEC-Liberty Division.

Pena and freshman Ally Reyes scored for the Bengals.
