Daveon Davis’ buzzer-beater lifts East Orange Campus HS boys’ basketball team in season finale

EAST ORANGE, NJ – Daveon Davis hit a game-winning jumper at the buzzer to lift the East Orange Campus High School boys’ varsity basketball team to a 60-58 home win over Memorial of West New York on Feb. 21 in its second-to-last game of the season. Davis finished with a game-high 21 points. Obi Madaubuchi had 15 points and six assists; Dwight Pressley had seven points and seven rebounds; Supreme Cook had six points and eight rebounds; Mekhi Chester scored six points and Mario Gunn posted three points, five rebounds and two blocks for the Jaguars.

EOCHS fell to Bloomfield Tech, 68-58, in the season finale on Feb. 23 at home to finish with a 5-18 record.
