East Orange Campus HS boys basketball team extends win streak to six games; improves to 9-1

EAST ORANGE, NJ — The East Orange Campus High School boys basketball team defeated Verona, Shabazz and Belleville to extend its winning streak to six games and improve to a 9-1 record on the season.

Junior guard Jalen Hammonds had 17 points and sophomore guard Kaleb Harmon had 13 points and pulled down six rebounds to lead the Jaguars to a 60-41 win at Verona on Jan. 7. Senior guard Izaiah Poole had 13 points and senior forward Justin Singh-Smith had eight points and 10 rebounds.

EOCHS hit the century mark with a 101-23 home win over Shabazz on Jan. 9. Poole had 27 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals, Singh-Smith had 18 points, six rebounds and three assists, Harmon had 13 points with four steals, Hammonds scored nine points and dished out nine assists and senior guard Nasir Owens had 10 points and four assists. Poole had 15 points and Poole posted 12 points and 10 rebounds in the 72-59 home win over Belleville on Jan. 11. Hammonds had 10 points and Owens and Harmon each had eight points.
