EAST ORANGE – East Orange Campus High School boys’ varsity basketball standout Marquise Kindel scored 21 points, including the 1,000th of his career, but the Jaguars lost at Bloomfield Tech, 65-53, in West Caldwell on Feb. 2.

Kindel also had seven rebounds. Anton Lawrence had 11 points; Arthur Mitchell had nine points; and Randy Joseph grabbed 10 rebounds.

EOCHS then fell to West Side, 58-39, at home on Feb. 4 to move to a 9-8 record.

The sixth-seeded Jaguars will begin play in the Essex County Tournament in the first round on Feb. 13 and will host the winner between No. 11 seed Columbia and No. 23 seed West Essex.
