East Orange Campus HS boys’ hoop team moves to 8-5

EAST ORANGE – The East Orange Campus High School boys’ varsity basketball lost to Montclair before defeating Newark Central to move to an 8-5 record.

Marquise Kindel scored 15 points and fellow senior guard Jordan Taylor had 13 in the 52-48 loss to Montclair on Jan. 19 at home. Junior point guard Anton Lawrence added nine points.

Kindel had 17 points and sophomore forward Dwight Pressly had 10 points in a 56-53 win over Newark Central on Jan. 21 at home.

The Jaguars will participate in The Valerie Fund Basketball Challenge on Sunday, Jan. 31, at the Pine Belt Arena in Toms River. EOCHS will play Christian Brothers Academy at 6 p.m. in the final game of the five games on the day. CBA is ranked No. 11 in the state.
