EAST ORANGE – The East Orange Campus High School boys’ indoor track and field team dominated the Super Essex Conference-American Division Championship meet at the Jersey City Armory on Dec. 27.
The Jaguars amassed 91 team points. Seton Hall Prep was a distant second with 35 points among the 12 scoring teams.
Here are the EOCHS notable results:
In the 55-meter dash, Akeem Lindo took second in 6.60 seconds, Dominic Dazzell was third in 6.81 and Recardo Lovelock was third in 6.86.
In the 400-meter run, Cory Poole took second in 51.16 and Lindo took third in 52.08.
In the 800-meter run, Immyouri Etienne took first place in 2:00.9.
In the 55-meter hurdles, Poole took first place in a meet-record 7.58, Lindo took third in 8.14, and Ibrahim Foray was fifth in 8.78.
The 4×400-meter relay team took first place in a meet-record 3.31.51. The unit comprised Lovelock, Akeem Lindo, Wesley Lindo and Poole.
In the high jump, Charon Jenkins took first place at 6 feet, 4 inches.
In the shot put, Keneek Tomlinson took fourth place at 40 feet, 8 1/2 inches and Treymont Carter took sixth place 39 feet, 3 inches.
