EAST ORANGE, NJ – The East Orange Campus High School boys indoor track and field team finished in second place in the team standings at the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 1, Group 4 State Championships at the Bennett Center in Toms River Feb. 1.
The Jaguars had 56 points, two points shy of winner Ridgewood, based on the top-six finishes in each event.
Malcolm Barnes won the 55-meter hurdles in 7.70 and finished in second place in the high jump at 5 feet-10 inches to lead the Jaguars. Matthew Parchment finished in third place in the high jump, also at 5-10.
The 4×400-meter relay team took second place in 3:30.05.
In the 55-meter dash, Al-Shadee Salaam finished second in 6.72; Kahsim Daniels finished in third place in 6.78 and Dazzell took fourth in 6.80.
In the 400-meter dash, Salaam placed third in 52.55, while Geraldo Gibson was sixth in 53.22.
