EAST ORANGE – The East Orange Campus High School boys’ varsity volleyball team enjoyed a successful season.
The Jaguars, under head coach Eric Ansah, finished the season with a 10-8 overall record, including 8-4 in the Super Essex Conference-Liberty Division, losing only to Science Park and Millburn in the division.
EOCHS, seeded 15th, lost at second-seeded Bayonne, 25-15, 25-10, in the first round of the state North Jersey Section 1 tournament to end the season.
Our strength was our collective unit as a group,” said Ansah, noting the team’s 10-8 recod is one of the best in program history. “We didn’t have any one particular player that stood out, but as a team, we played very well together.”
Ansah is looking forward to next season.
“I’m only losing two seniors and most of my team are juniors, so they will return next year,” he said.
