EAST ORANGE, NJ – The East Orange Campus High School varsity football team will host Barringer in the teams’ annual Thanksgiving Day game.
Kickoff at Paul Robeson Stadium will be 11 a.m.
The EOCHS Jaguars, who have a 5-4 record, are coming off a tough 26-7 home loss to Elizabeth in the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2, Group 5 state playoffs on Nov. 11. It was the second straight year the Jaguars lost to Elizabeth in the playoffs at home.
Barringer is 2-7 this season.
The East Orange-Barringer series is believed to be one of the longest in the state. The series was dormant for many years before being resumed in 2009, which was the first year of the Super Essex Conference.
The Jaguars have defeated Barringer in each of the Thanksgiving Day games since the series resumed.
