East Orange Campus HS girls’ basketball team excels at Skyline Classic

EAST ORANGE, NJ – The East Orange Campus High School girls’ varsity basketball team won all three of its games at the Skyline Classic at Marist.

The Jaguars defeated Notre Dame, Tottenville, N.Y. and Lyndhurst to improve to a 4-3 record on the season.

Trinity Haskins had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Brianna Turner had 11 points, five assists and four steals in the 47-43 win over Notre Dame on Dec. 27. Brianna Mills had seven points and four assists and Lakel Willis had nine points and eight rebounds.

Mills had 22 points with four 3-pointers, seven steals and three assists in the 54-44 win over Tottenville on Dec. 28. EOCHS rallied from a 21-11 deficit in the first quarter. Turner had 16 points and four steals and Haskins had nine points and eight rebounds.

EOCHS routed Lyndhurst, 72-25, Dec. 30. Turner had 16 points, eight steals and four rebounds; Destiny Battle had 15 points, six steals, five rebounds and four assists; Haskins posted 14 points and seven rebounds; Mills recorded 13 points, seven steals, five assists; Willis added four points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals; and Stubbs had four points.

In earlier action, Mills had 22 points and five steals as the Jaguars defeated Arts, 56-43, Dec. 20 for their first win of the season in a SEC game. Battle had 12 points and eight rebounds; Turner had nine points and five rebounds and Haskins had eight points and six steals.

Haskins had 19 points, 15 rebonds, four steals and two blocks in the 59-42 loss to Warren Hills on Dec. 22 in a non-conference game. Turner had seven points and six rebounds; Battle and Mills each had six points; and Willis had four points and five rebounds.
