East Orange Campus HS girls’ basketball team moves to 13-2; gears up for Essex County Tournament

EAST ORANGE – The East Orange Campus High School girls’ varsity basketball team defeated Weequahic and Montclair to move to a 13-2 record.

Lakel Willis had 17 points and eight steals and Moriyah Jordan had 14 points and five rebounds in an 80-7 home rout of Weequahic on Feb. 2. Barbara Jackson had 12 points, four rebounds, and three assists; Brianna Mills had 12 points, four rebounds and four steals; Jessica Woods had 10 points and seven rebounds; Shania Johnson and Sahara Crawford each had four points and Hadiyah Hassan and Terra Hunte each had two points.

Jackson scored 15 points and Erese-Osagie had 13 points in the 53-36 win at Montclair on Feb. 4. Crawford also had eight points and 10 rebounds.

The defending champion and top-seeded Jaguars will begin play in the Essex County Tournament in the first round on Feb. 13 and will host the winner between No. 17 West Essex and No. 16 Caldwell.
