East Orange Campus HS girls’ basketball team notches wins in Roselle Catholic tourney, now 4-0

EAST ORANGE – The East Orange Campus High School girls’ varsity basketball team defeated both Morris Catholic and Roselle Catholic in the Roselle Catholic Holiday Tournament to improve to a 4-0 record.

Moriyah Jordan had 27 points and 20 rebounds and Marvellous Osagie-Erese had 14 points, six steals, four assists and three rebounds in the 60-47 win over Morris Catholic on Dec. 28. Jessica Woods had 13 points and Sahara Crawford had five points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Osagie-Erese collected 19 points, seven rebounds and five steals and Woods posted 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Lady Jaguars to a 55-41 win over Roselle Catholic on Dec. 30. Jordan had three points with eight rebounds; Barbara Jackson had four points and nine rebounds; Crawford had 11 points and six rebounds; Lakel Willis added three points and Brianna Mills chipped in two points.

In earlier action, Osagie-Erese had 20 points and nine steals and Woods had 18 points and six rebounds in the 87-11 win over Weequahic on Dec. 22 at Weequahic in Newark. Mills scored 11 points, Willis added nine points and Jackson had eight points.
