East Orange Campus HS girls basketball team raises record to 8-1 on season

EAST ORANGE, NJ — The East Orange Campus High School girls basketball team defeated Newark Arts and Donovan Catholic to improve to 8-1 on the season.

Destiny Battle, a junior, had 17 points with seven rebounds and four assists, senior Brianna Turner had 11 points with seven rebounds and four assists and sophomore Triniti Haskins had 10 points with six rebounds, four assists, three blocks and three steals to lead the Jaguars to a 53-23 win at Newark Arts on Jan. 9. Brianna English, a freshman, had eight points and senior Adiya Ali had four points.

Haskins had 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four blocks and four steals in the 49-36 home win over Donovan Catholic on Jan. 11. Battle posted 12 points and 21 rebounds, Turner had 13 points and senior Nadayah Stubbs had four points with 10 rebounds.

The Jaguars lost to Saddle River Day, 55-34, Jan. 7 at home after starting off 6-0.
