EAST ORANGE, NJ — The East Orange Campus High School girls basketball team, under longtime head coach Derrick Johnson, will open the season Friday, Dec. 20, when the Jaguars visit West Orange HS at 7 p.m. EOCHS defeated top-seeded West Orange, 55-45, in the North Jersey Section 1, Group 4 state tournament quarterfinals before losing to fifth-seeded Bloomfield, 33-30, in the semifinals to finish with a 14-11 record last season. The Jaguars avenged two Super Essex Conference-American Division losses to West Orange last season, including in the season opener.
